For the upcoming 2018-19 sports season, the Legislative Council voted to move up the start date for Fall Sports by one week, from Monday, August 13th, to Monday, August 6th, which aligns with NFHS. This date is the first official day of practices and try-outs for the following sports, and those with an asterisk* tend to hold try-out camps the week prior to try-outs (July 30-August 4). Boys Cross Country Boys Soccer* Boys Tennis* Girls Cross Country Girls Field Hockey Gymnastics* Softball* Volleyball* Boys Golf has started a week earlier for many years, and recently, the Council moved Football to the same start schedule to accommodate a change in that sport’s playoff schedule, as well as align with NFHS.
