BOYS SOCCER TEAM OVERVIEW

The LHS Boys Soccer program is a CHSAA 5A competitive/try-out Fall sport. There are two teams – Varsity and Junior Varsity. (Girls Soccer is a Spring sport.)  

Team members are selected based on skill, attitude, experience and scholastic eligibility. Team levels are not determined by the athlete’s grade level, and members are required to try-out again, each year. Freshman may play on Varsity.

Athletes are eligible to receive a “letter” in this sport at the varsity level and at the head coach’s discretion. Athletes are expected to attend all practices (Mon-Fr, after school) and games during the season and to keep their grades up, despite the time commitment to the sport.

CHSAA rules require schools to run weekly eligibility reports and any athlete with more than one “F” grade will be ineligible to play in any games the following week. Athletes with  an “F-Fail” final grade in one or more classes will encounter eligibility restrictions.


















The Lakewood High School soccer program volunteered at the north area unified event on September 21, 2023.  A great day filled with soccer and fun was had by all!
