BOYS LACROSSE TEAM OVERVIEW
Look at the Quick Links on the left for more details.
Boys Lacrosse is a CHSAA 5A Spring sport. At LHS, there are three levels of teams – Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Level III. It is a non-cut sport, with tryouts used to determine positions and which team is best for the players' level of skill. (See the Girls Lacrosse link for information on girls options.)
Athletes are eligible to receive a varsity athletic letter based on reaching certain performance objectives and the coach’s discretion.
Athletes are expected to participate in required practices throughout the season (typically every day after school) and games are held weekdays and some Saturdays. There are additional costs for the lacrosse program for equipment and to participate in off-season activities in the winter and summer.
Players are also subject to CHSAA’s eligibility regulations.CHSAA requires schools to run weekly eligibility reports and any athlete with two “F-failing” class grades will not play in a game the following week, but they are still expected to practice. Anyone with an “F-Fail” final class grade may be subject to eligibility restrictions.
