Tryouts
While Football is not a Cut-Sport, tryouts take place in order to appropriately align athletes with a team that meets their abilities.
Registration
In order for your football player to participate in tryouts on the first day of the CHSAA Season (Monday Aug. 8th) they MUST be registered and approved.
Starting June 3rd 2022, sign-up on this website by going to the home page and clicking on "Athletic Registration."
Before you register, make sure you have a current physical (within the last 12 months) is required.
The deadline for registration is on Friday, Aug. 5th 2022

Pre-Season Parent Meeting
For athletes who make a team and their parent(s)/guardian(s).
When: Saturday August 13th, 2022
After the Scrimmages and BBQ
Time: 11:30am
Where: Lakewood High School - Football Field
(LHS Auditorium is the weather back-up)
Team Fees
Each CHSAA sport incurs the following fees:
- Jeffco Athletics Fee: $175 per sport, per athlete
- Team Fee: Varies by sport
- The 2022-23 LHS Football Team Fee is $150 to cover equipment, maintenance, uniforms, technology & decals.
Refund Policy -
A full refund will be made to the athlete who is cut or quits before being involved in the sport through fifteen calendar days.
The athletic fee refund must be claimed on or before the starting date of the next season, and within the same school year.
