Lakewood High School has a proud tradition of sports and scholastic achievements. We sponsor 24 sports and compete at the 5A/6A level determined by the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA). Nearly half of our 1,800 students participate in a sport, and some have continued at the college level.
We welcome home-schooled athletes, as well as those from private, charter, or other Jeffco high schools that don’t offer their sport. Conversely, if our students want to play a sport not offered at Lakewood, they can join a team at another Jeffco high school.
