The Boys Varsity Tennis team won a very hard fought match against a loud and motivated Columbine team winning 4 to 3. Adam Abrahamson and Tommy Landmark at 3 doubles were the first winners for the Tigers, winning in straight sets. The Tigers were down 2-1 in matches when Danny Kingman at 2 singles won his match, two long sets, with a tiebreaker in the 2nd set, to even the match at 2 wins each. The Tigers dropped the next match and needed to win the remaining 2 matches to pull out a victory. Danny Hunter at 3 singles held on to win a tough 3rd set, so the match is tied at 3 matches each. At 4 doubles, Christian Medina and Sheldon Borakove got off to a very quick start, “bageling” the Rebels in the first set, 6-0. Columbine raised their game in the second set, winning 6-3 and jumping out to a 3-1 lead in the third set. With all the players watching and cheering, the Tigers came roaring back winning 5 of the next 6 games to capture the final and deciding set 6 to 4!! Tigers win the dual match 4 to 3!! Next match is against multiple year defending League Champion Chatfield.
