Girls Field Hockey is a 5A Fall sport. It is only offered at one Jeffco high school. Girls from across Jeffco (including Lakewood High), are grouped into one team which plays against other metro high schools. For the 2018 Fall season, the team will be based at Dakota Ridge High School, after many seasons of being hosted by Golden High School. .
The girls are expected to attend all practices and games during the season, keep up their grades for eligibility, and they may also letter if they attain certain criteria as a varsity player. Lakewood girls would still earn an orange Lakewood chenille "L" if they lettered while playing on this team.
