The Boys Tennis team took on 5 time league defending champion Chatfield. The Tigers have not defeated Chatfield in a very long time, several 4-3 losses, but never an outright win. The Tigers started out strong, with Tommy Landmark and Adam Abrahamson winning at 3 doubles. The Tigers then dropped the next 2 matches to trail 1-2, then Clayton Guevara and Michael Tate won at 2 doubles and the match was all tied up at 2. Unfortunately, the Tigers dropped another tight match at 1 doubles, a couple points that if they went for the Tigers they might have pulled that match out. Down 2-3, Danny Hunter came through again at 3 singles with a long hard fought win to tie the match. Just like the previous match against Columbine, could the Tigers come back from a 2 to 3 deficit and pull it out? It came down to 4 doubles Christian Medina and Sheldon Borakove. The Tigers dropped a close first set, rallied to win the second set, but all of a sudden Chatfield caught fire and defeated the Tigers in the final set to win the match.
