Congratulations to senior Amber Boll for earning the all-around championship on the first day of the 5A State Gymnastics Meet on Nov. 1, 2018 at Thornton High School!
Boll scored an overall 39.125 points to place 1st in the all-around category. She placed first in the uneven bars with a 9.8; first in balance beam with 9.725 points; first in vault with 9.9 points, and second in floor with 9.688 points.
Senior Carley Schabel placed 7th in vault with a 9.475. Other Lady Tiger gymnasts who qualified to compete at State included Allison Smith; Julia Rex; and Zardel Khauldunn; and the following girls who are on our team, but attend other schools - Paige Drewek (D'Evelyn); Ellie Meng (Wheat Ridge) and Oriel Sasseville (Jeffco Open).
The Lady Tigers placed 9th as a team, with 172.400 points, and Pomona placed first for the fourth consecutive year.
The meet continues on Saturday for the remainder of the Individual competition.
